"I will be eternally grateful to you for all your hard work finding my daughter. Thank you just does not seem to be enough. I will thank you forever."

Somebody is Missing

Discovering that someone important to you could be missing is an incredibly distressing time. You will probably feel at a loss as to what to do, or want to immediately fly off to wherever they were last seen.

LBT Global has years of experience providing help in exactly this sort of situation. The people behind the charity have real life experience of dealing with such unthinkable times.

Defining a person as missing is a daunting task, and it is impossible to 'pigeon hole' them. We recognise that every case is different, and have experience of helping whatever the missing person's background.

Our support is primarily aimed at helping when someone is recently reported missing, and our skills and contacts are better placed to help in this way. If you are trying to find someone you lost touch with a long time ago we still can help and have staff trained in this area, but may also suggest tracing agencies or solicitors instead who may be better suited to your needs after assessing your case.

Establishing that someone really is missing is normally achieved in one of two ways - a definitive report, for example a call from someone explaining that they haven't been seen, and a non definitive report, where contact has perhaps been lost, or someone hasn't turned up when they should have, either at an arranged meeting or flight home perhaps.

But if you are concerned, and can answer yes to the following questions, get in touch immediately and we will do all we can to help:

Do you have reason to believe someone is missing?

Were they abroad at the time?

Are they a British Citizen?

Have they disappeared or has contact been lost recently?

Do you need help?

If yes, go to the next section, 'What to do'
