Paola is originally from Italy and holds a DPhil in Oriental Studies. Her research interests and hobbies have taken her to develop from an early age a keen interest in languages, which she has cultivated during extensive periods in which she has lived in countries as diverse as Argentina, Brazil, Bangladesh and India.
She is Head of Fundraising at Henley Busines School, part of the University of Reading, one of the oldest business schools in the UK, among an elite group of business schools holding triple-accredited status from the leading UK, European and US accrediting bodies.
Her volunteering experience include her current role as Trustee of The Encephalitis Society, supporting a Sailability group, part of a national programme enabling people with disabilities to access sailing, as well as advising the Oxford Centre for Buddhist Studies, a Recognised Independent Centre of the University of Oxford.
A keen traveller and a transoceanic yachtswoman, Paola loves all things Japanese and is mad about dogs, especially chocolate Labradors.
